Presenting sponsors of Used Car Week receive ubiquitous brand attention throughout both blocks of the week’s events, from logos splashed across screens and the agenda to the sessions and workshops their speakers host. Here’s some info on our four presenting sponsors and when and where to check them out during Used Car Week 2017.

DRN

Digital Recognition Network (DRN), sponsors of Auto Fin Con, provides ample solutions not just for auto finance, but also insurance and recovery programs. Using cameras to capture images of license plates passing within the field of view of the camera, they combine the location with the time and date the camera took the photograph to automate a process done manually for years, compiling a huge trove of publicly available data.

DRN’s own involvement in Used Car Week reflects the versatile application of DRN’s data. Alex Price, the company’s director of risk solutions, will be attending Used Car Week and speak during a Repo Con panel discussion. “Creating Efficiency While Managing Regulatory Challenges in the Skip Tracing Industry” should prove to be a fruitful discussion with Price on board — he’s a skip-tracing expert. Catch this session on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Executive Vice President and General Manager of Fin Tech Jeremiah Wheeler will take part in the “Collection Excellence Roundtable” on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fiesta Ballroom, as well as the “Best Practices in Alternative Data” panel discussion on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 10:15 a.m. and the lender-only “Peer-to-Peer Collection Excellence” session on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 9 a.m.

You can also swing by DRN’s booth in the Expo Hall at any point during the week.

Equifax

A global information solutions company utilizing unique data assets, innovative technology and analytics, Equifax transforms knowledge into insights powering good decisions, enabling their customers to make better business decisions and for consumers to progress and improve their lives. In supporting an event in such a data-driven industry, Equifax shows its devotion to streamlining and bettering the pre-owned purchasing process for buyers and dealers alike.

Taking full advantage of their status as a presenting sponsor, Equifax has brought along seven speakers to address four different sessions across both blocks of the conference.

On Monday, Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m., Vice President of Dealer Services John Giamalvo will speak during Pre-Owned Con with his presentation, “Get the Scoop on Your Potential Customers.”

Equifax packs the stage for “Dealers, Data-Driven Insights and Black Swans,” a Used Car Week general session. Senior Director of Automotive Portfolio Marketing Rebecca Kritzman moderates a discussion between the company’s Senior Director of Auto Product Management Todd Ague, CMO of Marketing Vertical Scott McMahon and Vice President of Auto Dealer Leader Larry Pappalardo. That starts at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Later that day, Equifax Strategic Automotive Consultant Brett Collett will be on stage during Repo Con for the Mainstream Data Panel on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 9:30 a.m.

Last but certainly not least, Kathi Mehall, Equifax vice president of technology in automotive, insurance and shared services, joins the Women in Remarketing Panel during the National Remarketing Convention at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16.

MBSi

The foremost provider of software solutions for the auto repossession industry, MBSi Corp. connects auto lenders, venders and third parties through a suite of products. Their repo assignment management systems feature state-of-the-art tech, security and analytics, all at a reasonable cost and backed by a seasoned team of industry experts and technology professionals driven to continually develop the best solutions for our partners. It’s only fitting that they should sponsor Repo Con.

MBSi Corporate Strategy Manager Cort DeHart will most certainly be present at Used Car Week, seeing as he’s delivering the keynote session of Repo Con during First Block. In a return to the UCW stage, DeHart’s presentation, “Fast-Forwarding to the Future,” will look at current recovery strategies and look to the future for ways that may help the industry recovery efforts.

DeHart’s session takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 2:45 p.m.

Ally SmartAuction

An offshoot of Ally Financial and the sponsor of the National Remarketing Convention, SmartAuction is an industry-leading internet auction, offering access to a virtual inventory of wholesale vehicles for eligible dealers of all brands. Whether buying or selling, SmartAuction allows customers to search for, list, bid on and buy vehicles at any time, even on the go with the SmartAuction mobile app.

Joined onstage by former NAAA President Jerry Hinton and Used Car Week Conference Chair Bill Zadeits, Ally SmartAuction Executive Director Anthony DiPanni will deliver opening remarks at the NRC Conference Welcome on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m. while Second Block attendees stream in from the registration desk.

Ally Financial Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer Andrea Riley will also moderate the Women in Remarketing panel discussion on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 1:45 p.m.

Additionally, Ally Financial Senior Director of Recovery Jose Esparza will partake in the Collection Excellence Roundtable, a general session occurring on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m., and Vice President of Specialized Asset Management Steve Kapusta will take part in the NRC’s Auction Executive Suite panel discussion on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 3:30 p.m. during Second Block.
