So,  you could probably stop reading this blog post after the next sentence — IF you take it to heart: Don’t wait to register for Used Car Week, because the Early Bird registration deadline is this Tuesday, Oct. 16.

So, let me paint a picture for you. You’re planning on going to UCW — the first block or second, (or both) — BUT the start of Q3 has been just as busy for you as it has been for the team at Used Car Week. We get it, really. That said, we don’t want you to miss your chance to save $300. Yep, that’s right. After October 16th, the rates for registration go up.

And if you missed your chance to get on our first attendee list email, don’t worry. The 2018 attendee list, sponsored by MVTRAC, will now be updated weekly. And it lives here, right on the UCW website. Check out some of the names on that list, and see if you want to be part of the group. Disclaimer: We’re pretty sure you will.

And, if you need more convincing, take a look at our complete agenda — near and dear to my heart as this year’s UCW Content Coordinator. The first block agenda, sponsored by the Costco Auto Program, is comprised of the Pre-Owned Con, Auto Fin Con and Repo Con; while the second block agenda features NRC + NAAA, and is sponsored by AutoIMS. Together, the full week of UCW events provides a comprehensive look at the used-car industry. And trust me that’s not so easy to put together — considering we need to cover retail, finance, risk management, repossession, wholesale, digital solutions, fintech, and, and, and … you get the idea. Check out our agenda, and make sure to let me know if we left anything out (I won’t take it personally, promise!).

Content is king here at Used Car Week, and throughout Cherokee Media Group’s events and publications. And that comes directly from UCW chair Bill Zadeits. But that said, an event like UCW, that brings so many folks together from different sectors of the auto industry, offers so much more. Yep, you know where I’m headed — networking, of course!

Our extended networking breaks scattered throughout the event, sponsored by your friends at The Appraisal Lane, SmartAuction and J.D. Power, offer more than just a moment to grab some water and hit the restroom; but rather the 30+ minute breaks offer a chance to meet and greet, exchange business cards (do people have those anymore with all the related apps floating around?) or check out new products and offerings from over 65 booths in our almost full Expo Hall. We’ve got a great selection of vendors that offer innovative solutions for all sectors of our industry. And before doing any of those things, don’t forget to stop by one our many coffee stations, sponsored by CarGurus, MBSi Corp. and FICO.

And if you you need more networking time, because we all know new business relationships are one of the key takeaways of industry events such as these; don’t worry, we’ve got you. Our networking receptions, sponsored by ALG and Manheim, are a great chance to grab a drink, relax, and meet a few of your industry peers. Our award luncheons also provide a chance to mingle, as well as keep tabs on some of the best and brightest in the auto industry. Who knows, they could be your next employee, or colleague! The Used Car Awards luncheon on Tuesday, sponsored by TradeRev, honors top dealers and more, and don’t miss Auto Remarketing’s 40 under 40 Awards Luncheon on Wednesday!

And last but certainly not least, if you are attending the second block of Used Car Week, NAAA has a lot in store for you when it comes to networking and celebrations, including their start-studded opening luncheon, sponsored by Auction Insurance Agency, as well as the Black Book cocktail hour, Presidential Gala, President’s Party and more.

So, yes, we take networking seriously here at Used Car Week. But, it goes beyond face-to-face encounters. We have focused on technology this year to give you the best experience possible at UCW, while also offering plenty of options to share takeaways, pics and more on social media. The Used Car Week mobile app, sponsored by ACV Auctions, is now available for download for iOS and Android. And our Social Media Buzz this year is sponsored by ADESA — don’t forget to tag photos, videos, updates and check-ins with #UsedCarWeek to see the content featured on the big screen at the event. And don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with WiFi, sponsored by Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA). And we’ll also have a charging station brought to you by XLerate Group to keep all your tech powered up!

You may be able to tell that I like talking about Used Car Week, a bit, but truly, our events team and sponsors have gone all out this year. If you’re ready to register, don’t forget to act quickly so you can take advantage of our Early Bird Savings.

Register for Used Car Week by Oct. 16 to save $300!
